Poly Elevates Workplace Collaboration at Google Cloud Next

August 29, 2023

As organizations seek ways to improve hybrid work experiences, device customization at the user level provides significant value. According to IDC1, 32% of organizations feel employee experience is a top priority for the future of work. This is important as more organizations focus on retaining talent and increasing productivity by enabling employees with seamless, user-friendly collaboration technology.

Poly is introducing its latest solutions designed to work with Google Cloud and Google ChromeOS, empowering users to collaborate effortlessly and take charge of their devices like never before.

“We are excited to expand our ongoing partnership with Google to introduce best-in-class solutions designed to elevate the hybrid work collaboration experience,” said Jennifer Adams, Senior Director, Hybrid Systems, HP | Poly. “By creating more seamless, personalized experiences for the modern-day workforce, people can work the way they want, regardless of where work gets done.”

Device management on ChromeOS

Earlier this year Poly announced a public preview of the Poly Lens Web App for Chrome OS. Now, the Poly Lens Web App is available to ChromeOS users and customers worldwide, allowing users to manage their devices directly from the web. With the power of personalization at your fingertips, Google and Poly empower users to show up and stand out when it matters most.

The Poly Lens Web App works with your favorite collaboration tools, such as headsets, speakerphones, and video conferencing devices. For example, you can adjust the brightness, speaker tracking, or acoustic fence settings on the Poly Studio P15 video bar so you always look and sound your best. Poly offers pro-grade gear with embedded device management designed to deliver a seamless, integrated experience on Google ChromeOS.

The Poly Lens Web App can now be used with Google Chrome on ChromeOS devices. Simply access it here. A complete list of supported devices can be found here.

Studio X Series for Google Meet

The Poly Studio X family of video bars are the first Android-based video appliances to deliver more equitable meeting experiences on Google Meet. This includes the new Poly Studio X52 video bar and Poly Video OS 4.1 software, which adds improved camera framing with Poly DirectorAI Perimeter and better clarity in acoustically challenging rooms with Sound Reflection Reduction. The Studio X52 and Poly Video OS 4.1 software are now available worldwide.

Dual display support for Google Meet is now available on the Studio X Series, which allows participants to view presentations or documents on one screen, and participants on the other. When combined with Poly’s AI-driven features like intelligent camera framing and NoiseBlockAI technology, the Studio X Series delivers an elevated collaboration experience for Google Workspace teams.

Future Ready Collaboration

Poly offers a comprehensive portfolio of hybrid work solutions across the Google collaboration ecosystem, including Google Meet, Google Voice, and ChromeOS.
