About the film: In ‘At First Sight,’ a deep connection is made across continents after the exchange of two images. ‘A Secret Album’ tells the story of a woman who discovers her true self after uncovering a hidden family photo album. ‘China Lost and Found’ shows how the memories of an entire generation were saved from destruction by a French archivist digging through the trash. And after many years in foster care, a teenager and his adoptive mother make up for lost time by creating a new kind of family announcement in ‘It’s a Boy.’

From Florida to India, Beijing to New Orleans, each story in History of Memory, reminds us that the most important memories are those which we cherish, share, and protect.
